Wireless LANs: Luxury or Operational Nightmare?

The wireless LAN market is the hottest market in networking. However, the
business case for enterprise deployments is operationally expensive and
capitally cheap. In this discussion Abner Germanow will discuss the next
generation of enterprise class wireless LAN equipment emerging with the
goal of integrating the wireless and wired LANs to achieve operational control
and efficentcy. This presentation includes an examination of wireless gateways
vs. wireless switches vs. intelligent access points as well as an analysis of new
edge switches.
